Did your ma crack it at you using a whisk in that beautiful illusions bowl? I would've!!

We were in Daly Waters NT in 2004 and had fresh barramundi cooked on a BBQ in the pub. Brings back very pleasant memories. We catch a lot of flat head and have a marinade recipe which will impress your friends. You can use any type of fish.

2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 teaspoons chilli sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil

Cut fish into chunks and thread onto skewers and place in marinade until ready to cook. Very good for entree or party finger food.

Our first fish recipe we tried recently - fish pie (nicer than it sounds and dead easy to cook).

700gm white fish (we use flake)
1-2 cups milk
4 small potatoes - mashed with some milk, cream and fresh dill.
grated cheese

cut fish into small chunks and simmer for 5 minutes in the milk until tender.
Drain fish and place in casserole dish and top with potato mixture & grated cheese
cook in 180c oven for 30 mins until cheese is melted & crispy.

Serve with salad - yum!
