To save Heath the awkwardness of playing down the whole “first person to do it” claim, it was actually Connex who told him (albeit uninformed) that no-one had done it before.

Basically it makes it more media friendly.

If you read Heath’s list there is no mention of setting some kind of Guinness record for train travel…

Personally I don’t know why you would do that, seems to be a waste of 18.3 hours in my opinion, but a goal’s a goal!

You could have just crossed out the Frankston line though and no one would have cared.

Sounds pretty boring, but I guess it’s one way to pass the time by, thought about doing it myself someday. Wouls you be able to send me any information on your trip you might have? like the routes you took, any tips etc?

It was nice meeting this evening (Blackburn station) and enjoying your stories of the days, goals past and future goals. I mentioned about a surfer named Dale Webster who ended up surfing every day for 29 years. http://www.surfingthemag.com/news/surfing-pulse/030104_webster/

I am happy to say that I recovered my daughter Jordan back at the East Ringwood station. We had a good laugh but you know she will ping that story on me how I left her behind in future years!
